Traditionally Gilbert De Clercq organizes annually a blind spot training for its own employees to raise their awareness of vulnerable road users.
However, on Tuesday, May 7, we received a visit from the students of the 6th grade of the primary school Temse-Velle .
These 12 year olds experienced the blind spot danger and learned how to behave in the vicinity of a truck or other large vehicle.
Always stay behind the truck, be seen or have eye contact with the truck driver : these basic principles were emphasized during the practical lessons. The students also took a seat behind the wheel to experience for themselves where they are best positioned to be seen or not seen by the driver.
Watch our video showing how our blind spot mascot, who did not listen properly, experiences the consequences of a blind spot accident.
Enjoy watching!
